In Memory of John Detore - A Celebration of Life

The Seattle Swing Dance Club (SSDC) dances are held on the first and third Sunday of each month. The usual location is the Alki Masonic Hall located in West Seattle. The address is 4736 40th Ave SW; Seattle, WA 98116.

The club activities usually begin with two intermediate WC Swing workshops one at 2:45 PM and the second at 4:00. These workshops are taught by various instructors from the puget sound area. The fee for these workshops is usually $19.00 for both workshops for members of the SSDC and affialliated clubs; $25.00 for guests. We also offer a beginning WC Swing class at 4:00, this class is free for people who have paid for their admission to the social dance.

The club also holds regular dance competitions. Both members and non-members are welcome to compete. The competitions are in the standard Jack & Jill format. Competitors can earn local points as a Novice, Intermediate, or Advanced dancer. For the competiton schedule and rules, please go to the “Competitions” area of this web page.
