When: Sunday, June 29, 2008 4 PM until 8 PM
Where: Alki Masonic Temple (West Seattle) 4736 40th Avenue SW, Seattle
How: With all of us and other family and friends of John’s s in attendance, sharing all of John’s favorite things including dancing, eating, stories and laughter we will bring John’s spirit back to the dance hall for a true celebration of John’s life.
At 4 PM Terry West will be playing “mostly blues” in honor of our friend John. The eating may begin upon arrival and around 5 PM we will begin asking those who want to say something in tribute to John to take the microphone and share your memories, thoughts, feelings, jokes etc. Don’t be shy, bring photos, stories, memorabilia anything you have or remember, to share with the rest of us and pay tribute to John and his life. Debby Floyd Scrap Book
The one I am working on is simple, and will have room for photos each submitted along with some journaling (Under 200+/- words).
I may or most probably will tweak photos some to create a cohesive look to this small book and will also print the journaling in similar fashion and have the book done before the celebration.
If you have a photo of yourself or one of John or one of you both and would like to write something in “journal” or “story” form, or just a journaling note feel free to send it to me via email before the 22nd, so I can assemble this 6 x 12 custom book.
It may appear something like this:
I loved dancing with John! From the timeI began dancing he was there every dance,
making sure that I had a great dance and enjoyed “it all”. Our venture into Demo’s for
for SSDC with John where a lot of fun and I’ll remember his smile and laughter
always. Thank you John!! Much Love, Debby
~ Debby
Thank you and please pass this information onto everyone you know who would want to be involved.
